Informer messages
There are some small differences between e-mail and informer message, namely:
- Informer message can only send to users found in Catglobe and not to e-mail addresses.
- Informer messages are only valid in their applicable date range. If a user does not pick them up inside this range he will never receive them.
There are three ways in which users can receive and read informer messages. One is through a small application that can be installed on your PC which regularly look for new informer messages. This is called the Informer application and more information is available by clicking here.
The other one is through the 'web informer'. This informer you will see in the bottom of the Catglobe system as shown below (when activated in your "My Settings").
You read informer messages by clicking this link. Messages that are viewed here as well as in the informer application are immediately set as 'read' and will not be shown again via either of the two methods.
The third method is directly from your "My Communicator" screen. Here you will have an Inbox where all the informer message which were sent to you are stored.
When you click on the web informer link the following dialog will be opened where you can read your messages.
