Left pane: List of core information you can update. User check on field they want to update.

Right Pane: Once a field has been selected, corresponding controls will appear on this pane.

Sub resource Tabs:

+ Allow user to make mass update information for sub resources of the selected resource(s)

+ All resource types which enable to be sub resources for the selected resource type will be displayed. (In currently, We only have Child Tab for: Task, Project, PQ, Report, and Test cases).

General Update Logic

- User need at least manager permission for update on resource's information. (except for Path)

- Not filling in fields or not checking them also constitutes an update, so if you do not want to update a specific field, please do not choose it in the left side check boxes.

- (*) sign indicates the value this field is required (empty value is not allowed) . (Path, Priority – Test case, Status – Project Questionnaire)

  • Mass update Path: - Need Administrator permission on resource. - Path is required field. - Path cannot be one of selected resources (a resource cannot become child of it self). Error: "The path cannot be the child of one of the updated resources. Please select another path." - Path cannot be a sub resources (a resource cannot become child of it's child resource) - Error if Names of the selected resources was existing in the new path(Duplicate resource name)
  • Mass update resource template: - For resources already have a value for a property, new property value only apply when "Change existing" check box is checked. - Need to specify value for all required property. - If User choose "Do not change" (or Empty option) when updating parameter, existing parameter value should be kept.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What if I only have administrator access on some of the selected resources, and I do mass update path for all of them?
