Dashboards and Time sets
These features are also very new and quite well documented, so there is really much need for explaining them. Please read main design document “VN1467REP – Dash board” and “VN1618REP - Time set”.
My general proposal for this one is to wait to see how it is used and what becomes the main problems before doing more work on it. It is easy enough to come up with additional demands for “drill down” features or similar advanced extensions; but I think the things that really should be next on the list of minor step by step improvements are:
- Style sheet settings on the viewable items (it will still be a bit hard to make a dashboard look really good when user cannot influence how the items look)
- Easier use of the HTML editor (it will take a good HTML designer to make it look good)
- More different kinds of filter controls (e.g. target group controls)
So basically improvements to the existing features before starting new extensions. Will stabilize and ensure that we do not have a feature that is huge but which is so hard to use that the consultants shun it.
