Condition name: Include answer option from

Question types applied

Single-Grid, Multi-Grid, Text-Grid, Scale-Grid question

Description

This condition is an extension of the logic of the "Include answer option if" condition. Where the latter condition includes an answer option based on one condition being met, then the "include answer option from" condition includes a range of answer options, where the equivalent answer options were also chosen by the user in another question, if the user at the same time met conditions on a third criteria.

Example

This can be a bit hard to understand so let us assume a scenario where this condition would be used.

We have three questions in a questionnaire.

Question_1: Are you interested in Action movies and have opinions on whether these are good or bad?

AO1 = Yes

AO2 = No

Question_2: Which of the following Action movies have you seen?

AO1 = "Terminator"

AO2 = "Rambo"

AO3 = "Running Man"

AO4 = "Die Hard"

Question_3: Which of the following Action movies would you recommend to others?

AO1 = "Terminator"

AO2 = "Rambo"

AO3 = "Running Man"

AO4 = "Die Hard"

For users who care about Action movies, we will let them recommend movies to others, even though they may never have seen them. For users who do not care about Action movies, we will only ask if they recommend these movies in the case where they have actually seen these movies.

To do this with a "Include answer option from" condition, we would set the following parameters for this condition on Question_3:

Condition56-8-3

What would happen in Question_3 is that users who care about Action movies could recommend movies they have not even seen, whereas user who do not care about movies, will only be asked to recommend those movies, that they specified that they had seen (i.e. checked as true in Question_2).

Below is shown example where user does not like Action movies.
