Data access
We may want to restrict the period for which certain users can see data for the dynamic diagrams in our report. It is advisable that the end clients are at least one week behind the site administrator in terms of data. This will ensure that end clients do not see data for weeks where the data has not been fully collected yet or where the data has not been analysed for potential problems before it goes online.
If there are at least one data access group defined then if users are not member of one of the groups of the data access tab, they will also not have access to any of the diagrams of the monitor site. So even if you just want all administrators and all end clients to see all data, you still have to add them to this list.
If there are no data access groups defined, then the system will presume that you want all users logging in to see data from all periods of time, and no data access checks will be made.
In the example above we see that we have 3 groups of users, who all have unlimited access to view data. It is unlimited since we have defined from dates and to dates that cover a longer period of time than will most likely ever be necessary to consider!
