Choosing a contact status

The outcomes that the interviewer has available have been decided by the supervisor of the CATI assignment. Generally there are 4 main types of outcomes that can be chosen; Success, Failure, Meeting and Retry.

For status type meeting (illustrated above) the user will be proposed a meeting time 20 minutes later than current time. He may then change this if a user requests a meeting at a different date and time than this. Times will be shown in both the interviewers time and the respondents time to avoid confusions when the caller and receiver are located in different time zones.

For meetings and failures we will also have a comment field. This comment field will make it possible for interviewers to explain why an interview failed or tell other interviewers some information regarding an appointed meeting, e.g. something they need to know about the respondent before they call him!

In order to avoid calling the same number too many times with no result we can set a number of times for recalls (of main type 'Retry') after which we will give up the respondent. You can set this number in the setting form on the CATI Online Manager. This parameter is called Contact Limit. So when the number of times surpasses this number, the Interview Screen of this respondent will receive a warning message and the interviewer cannot choose an outcome of the type “retry” for this interview.

E.g.: If contact limit is two, a message will be displayed on the Interview Screen like below. 1517.png
