Short description of the information of this option:

This is just a text string describing the unique number given to the project by a customer, if any. By default the copy resource wizard will propose to use the same for destination as for source. The user can then change of not appropriate.

How this information is actually copied:

It basically takes whatever value was specified in step 2 of the copy resource wizard and uses as new value in customer reference number.
