Short description of the information of this option:

Most resource types that use resource templates, can have properties set up for them. Properties are additional information about core information of the resource which does not exist on the general information tab. The values of properties are set by the users on the property tab of these resources.

How this information is actually copied:

When a resource is copied the new resource will always use the same resource template as the source resource, thus it will also offer the exact same properties. Upon copying the properties of the new resource will then be given the exact same values as was given to the source resource.
