Arrange axis labels

Style sheet - Labels - X-axis labels - More options - Stagger

To arrange the X-axis labels in a bar line, area, point, bubble, or box and whiskers chart through the External Style Sheet and Inline Style Sheet editors:

  1. Under Labels, select X-axis labels, click the More options button in the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand area, and then find the Stagger level group of settings in the dialog that turns up.
  2. If you want the X-axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.

To arrange the Y-axis labels in a bar line, area, point, bubble, or box and whiskers chart through the External Style Sheet and Inline Style Sheet editors:

  1. Under Labels, select Y-axis labels, click the More options button in the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand area, and then find the Stagger level group of settings in the dialog that turns up.
  2. If you want the Y-axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.

To arrange the secondary Y-axis labels in a bar line or area chart through the External Style Sheet and Inline Style Sheet editors:

  1. Under Labels, select Secondary Y-axis labels, click the More options button in the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand area, and then find the Stagger level group of settings in the dialog that turns up.
  2. If you want the secondary Y-axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.

Style sheet - Radar chart - Labels -  Axis labels - More options - Stagger

To arrange the axis labels in a radar, linear gauge, or radial gauge chart through the External Style Sheet and Inline Style Sheet editors:

  1. Under Labels, select Axis labels, click the More options button in the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand area, and then find the Stagger level group of settings in the dialog that turns up.
  2. If you want the axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.
