Sample rules specify the logic for which users had created answer sheets for a questionnaire. To learn more on sample rules please click here.

How this information is actually copied:

This copying sample rule option has four sub items to consider each time you tick this check box, i.e. you have to select one of the four following options:

Copy the sample rules from the source questionnaire and do not rebuild themThis option allows the sample rules to be copied; however, the sample rules are not rebuilt, which means that the answer sheets are not immediately created according to the sample rules. This option is the fastest to complete the copying process.

Copy the sample rules from the source questionnaire and rebuild themThis option allows the sample rules to be copied and rebuilt to get the newest results of the sample rules for the new questionnaire. Thus, a new set of answer sheets will be created using the sample rules, which will not necessarily be the same ones as the original questionnaire in terms of the users involved. After copying the questionnaire, you can navigate to the samples tab of questionnaire to see the result.

Instantly add sample rules based on usage variables of the source questionnaire and do not rebuild themIf e.g. the reason that you are adding a new questionnaire is, that you want to ask questions to users who adhere to the rules of the group from which the original sample rule was built, but which did not actually participate in the original questionnaire (excluded due to limited size of sample rule), then you can check this option. The rules that ensure this will be added to the new questionnaire but not immediately built!
