Managing your interviewers
Managing your interviewers
Managing your interviewers consists of a number of basic decisions:
- How do we assign interviewers to a CATI assignment? From version 5.5 this is solely done in the Activity Manager which can now also be found as a part of the fieldwork manager. Click here to learn more. Here you will also find information on how to assign an interviewer to a specific sample subset.
- How is each interviewer performing you can read more about in the file on CATI Analytics
- How can interviewers be pre-dedicated to specific respondents?
The last question is answered below:
It is not only during the interviews that we can dedicate further interviews to a dedicated person. We can also do it before we start talking to a person. This is useful in the situations where Interviewers have to do prior research on a respondent before calling him or where there is a close relationship between the interviewer and the respondent. Pre-dedicating can be done. You may actually also have situations where you want to remove a dedication from a respondent. Both things can be done on the main or appointment lists using the dedicate and un-dedicate buttons.
Once you click dedicate while having highlighted one or more records in the list you will be asked if you want to update all the records in the list you are looking at our only a highlighted one.
If you did not highlight any the system will presume that you want to update all records in the list with a dedicated user.
After clicking OK or Yes on the above dialogues you will be presented with a light search dialogue where you can search and choose the user that you want to make the dedicated interviewer. The chosen user will then be inserted as the dedicated user for the respondents in question.
Un-dedicating works in a similar way to above. Depending on whether or not you highlighted any records you will be asked if you want to update the entire list or just highlighted records. Whichever you choose the dedication of the respondents in question will be set to null.
