Using short cuts to navigate through Catglobe

We are constantly adding new places where short cuts can be used. Mostly we are currently supporting the resource list, resource dialog and the light search dialog. The short cuts that can be used are:

General keyboard shortcuts

Shortcut key	Action
CTRL + ALT + TAB	Focus on the next section in the current page (1)
CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + TAB	Focus on the previous section in the current page (2)
TAB	Move to the next enabled item in the current section
SHIFT + TAB	Move to the previous enabled item in the current section
ENTER	Perform the most typical command that goes with the current item (3)
SPACE	Select or de-select an item (4)
RIGHT ARROW	Open the next menu to the right, or open a submenu
LEFT ARROW	Open the next menu to the left, or close a submenu
DOWN ARROW	Select the next enabled item below
UP ARROW	Select the next enabled item above

(1) For example, when you have opened a resource list, the CTRL + TAB shortcut key will help you go through the Quick links bar, the menu, the toolbar, the resource list, and the taskbar in that order. You can stop to focus on the section that you want.

(2) For example, when you have opened a resource list, the CTRL + SHIFT + TAB shortcut key will help you go through the taskbar, the resource list, the toolbar, the menu, and the Quick links bar in that order. You can stop to focus on the section that you want.

(3) For example

   “Click” a link, a menu item, or a button
  Accept the change of a drop down or a text field
  Open a resource in a resource list
  Add & close a resource in the search result list of the light search control

(4) For example

   Select a radio button
  Select or deselect a checkbox
  Select or deselect an item in a list

Dialog keyboard shortcuts

CTRL + Q	Replaces clicking Close
CTRL + ALT + PLUS SIGN	Replaces clicking Maximize when the dialog is restored, or replaces clicking “Restore” when the dialog is minimized
CTRL + ALT + MINUS SIGN	Replaces clicking Restore when the dialog is maximized, or replaces clicking Minimize when the dialog is restored
