Arrange axis labels
To arrange the X-axis labels in a bar line, area, point, bubble, or box and whiskers chart through the External Style Sheet and Inline Style Sheet editors:
- Under Labels, select X-axis labels, click the More options button in the bottom right-hand corner of the right-hand area, and then find the Stagger level group of settings in the dialog that turns up.
- If you want the X-axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.

- If you want the secondary Y-axis labels to be automatically arranged in one, two, or three levels so that they don’t overlap when the texts become too long, select the Auto check box. If you want them to be always arranged in one, two, or three levels, clear the check box and select One, Two, or Three respectively.
